Plain Tart w/ Shredded Coconut, Granola, and Honey
*2 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Plain tart yogurt
- Shredded coconut
- Granola
- Honey
I really love all the flavors in this yogurt... just not together like this. Everything in this yogurt has a very distinct and strong taste of its own and the flavors just clash with each other. It's kind of like trying to get hipsters to play nice with one another when all they want to do is do their own thing.
I think what makes this especially bad is the mixture of plain tart and honey. If it weren't for the honey, this yogurt combination might be tolerable, but as it is, it's just too overbearingly honey-ey and sweet. So as I said, though all the flavors that make up this yogurt are good in their own light, they don't work well together and I would do well to stay away from putting them all in one cup.

Mango Tart w/ Kiwis and Granola
*7 out of 10
- Mango tart yogurt
- Kiwis
- Granola
I gotta admit, when I came home to this, I was a bit turned off by the look of what was inside the cup. I mean, what are those brown clumps in the yogurt?! However, I was pleasantly surprised by both the taste and texture of the yogurt. The mango tart yogurt itself is already pretty tasty. It's sweet and proportionately tart; a good balance. The kiwis further add to the tart taste of the yogurt. But it's the granola that really shines here. The sweetness of the granola balances the yogurt and kiwi very well and the crunchy texture makes the yogurt a joy to eat. If there were one addition to be made, it would be fresh mangos.
