Taro Yogurt Mix - Reeses, Coconut and Almonds!
*7 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Mochi
- Reeses peanut butter
- Coconut flakes
- Sliced almonds
I have always been a fan of our taro combinations. In fact, I would actually give this a higher score except that the others are firm about it not being any better than a 7. What is good about this combination is that overall, it is not too sweet and the first few bites are extremely pleasant. The aroma is appetizing and I think, it just tastes good. The Reeses peanut butter cups, coconut and taro yogurt compliments each other extremely well while the almonds adds a crunch factor. The only problem is that the coconut flakes and Reeses, gets harder when put into the cold yogurt. So that as you keep eating, the combination actually evolves into something not so enjoyable. However, I would DEFINITELY recommend that you try this flavor if either you are a fan of taro of if you are just hanging out with your friends - not really feeling like eating a ton of yogurt - but want to get something small and yummy.

Seasonal: Pumpkin Yogurt - Thanksgiving mix 1
*8 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Banana slices
- Cheesecake bites
- Walnuts
- Graham cracker crumbs
This combination is absolutely delicious. I can't take the credit for this mix, because it was all Mike. I think he made like three or four of these before we decided to actually post it. Anyways, assuming that you enjoy all of the ingredients and that you are not allergic this is a MUST try. First of all let me just say that the pumpkin yogurt is more thick an rich compared to maybe some of the others like coconut, which just means that the flavors are not watered down and therefore the yogurt is good by itself. The banana is also rich in flavor but it doesn't overwhelm the yogurt, it is a good compliment. Not to mention, the gooey texture of the banana with the crunch of the walnuts leaves every bite complex and enjoyable. Lastly, think of the cheesecake as a medium texture that leans on the pasty side and combined with the crumbs of the graham cracker, it balances out the palette as the yogurt melts. Sometimes the combination is good right when you put it into your mouth but then gets boring as it all dissolves and turns to mush. The graham cracker prevents that because of how dry it is. Every bite down to the aftertaste is enjoyable.
AND WE ARE BACK!!
Hello everyone,
It has been quite some time since our last blog post. The team here at T.Y.E have been busy with a bunch of new projects. However, during our break we got the opportunity to talk to Jane Kim - a representative from Yogurtland corporate about this blog! That was an exciting experience for us and maybe in the future, who knows where this project will take us. But after much reflection over the past few months, and from the feedback that we got, I have decided that we are going to push the blog at full speed. There have been a lot of people in our community encourage us to keep the blog going because they've enjoyed trying out the new combinations, not to mention Mike's funny videos, which I am sure we will see more of. Anyways, I am sorry that it took us so long to get back in this project. For those of you who are just joining us now, this blog is going to be THE place for you to find a good combination of yogurt next time you go to Yogurtland. We got you covered - if you have any ideas too, don't hesitate to be apart of this dialogue. Lastly,
THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED US!!!! WE APPRECIATE YOU!

Superfruit and Mango?!
*5 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Superfruit yogurt
- Mango yogurt
- Mango
- Blackberry
- Kiwi
- Almonds
- Condensed Milk
Overall, this flavor tastes similar to the Mango on Mango combination except that it is just not as good. Why? Well for one, you can't taste the Superfruit yogurt because the mango along with the other fruits overpower the yogurt. Remember that when combining two yogurts, there needs to be elements that are complementary with each other. Balance is the key - you need to be able to taste both flavors of yogurt. In this case, the richness of the mango yogurt just destroys the Superfruit. Having blackberry and kiwi makes the yogurt extremely sour. You would think that the condensed milk would do a good job of evening out the yogurt but it is fairly inconsistent. Some bites are extremely sour while others become extremely sweet. I think that the condensed milk and the fruit make a good combination, and I will keep that in mind for future flavors, but it just wasn't as enjoyable as I thought that it would be. I couldn't really pick out the blackberry again, I think that was because of the mango. Also, the almonds is a good texture replacer but it wasn't sweetened so it doesn't do complete justice when replacing granola. If you are trying the Mango on Mango flavor and you want your yogurt to be more sour, then I would suggest your replace the granola with the almonds.

Mango on Mango Goodness!
*8 out of 10 - (9 or 10 if you are mango lover)
Ingredients:
- Mango yogurt
- Mango
- Kiwi
- Granola
Out of all the flavors that I have eaten, I can honestly say that this is one of my favorites. There really isn't much to say other than - get it, its worth it. If you are a mango fanatic this has your name on it. I really would consider this as a potential "classic". It is simple in its ingredients yet noticeable in its quality. I was eating this yogurt next to a few other flavors and believe me, it stands out as an 8. The reason why it is so good is that first off, the mango yogurt has a richness and a consistency that is smooth and emulates the fruit very closely. Then, when you mix the mango in (the key is to put in the mango that is ripe and soft) you get the texture of the yogurt with the natural sweetness of the fruit and the combination is just delightful. Mango on Mango alone is good but it might be a little boring so if you add the kiwi, you will give the yogurt a sourness that contrasts the mango not to mention the kiwi's texture blends in nicely. For some people like me, I don't like my yogurt too sour so adding the granola is a double bonus because not only does the granola even out the sourness, since it is naturally sprinkled with sugar, but it adds a crunch factor that I just love. The result is that you have a yogurt that is fairly balanced in all areas. I had a few people try this combination and they commented that this would be a "healthy" choice - something like a breakfast yogurt? Try it out and let us know what you think.

Vanilla Yogurt - Malt ball disaster
*2 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Arctic Vanilla yogurt
- Chocolate Chips
- Sliced Almonds
- Coconut flakes
- Cookie dough
I know we haven't said much about the Arctic Vanilla yogurt so I decided to experiment with it. The goal was to play around with the texture of the ingredients and possibly add toppings, which I thought would enhance the flavor of the vanilla. I was wrong. Little did I know, the malt balls would literately ruin the yogurt. What do I mean? Well, just remember that when you add malt balls with frozen yogurt, they become as hard as ice cubes not to mention, just one of them can take an entire bite because of their size. Every bite was just a lot of work and while the other toppings may have been a good match with the vanilla, I was never able to get that far because of the malt balls. You may be wondering, how come you just don't take out the malt balls and eat the rest of the yogurt? Well, if I did it wouldn't really be the same yogurt. I would have to make another post to further analyze this combination and I think that is exactly what I will do. Therefore, this flavor is - to be continued..
p.s. The whole yogurt was just way too sweet in general. The taste of the cookie dough was barely noticeable although the texture did stand out. So I guess that was a plus.

Fudge Brownie!!!
*8.5 out of 10
- Double Cookies and Cream yogurt
- Brownie bites
- Oreos
- Chopped peanuts
- Ghirardelli chocolate syrup
Mmmhmmh! Wow! This combination left me speechless at first bite because it was surprisingly really good! I've tried the brownie bites in other yogurts and their taste always disappointed me. But in this combination they were heavenly! Mostly because of the Ghirardelli chocolate syrup, which as I've stated before that it's usually so overwhelming of a flavor that you are not able to taste anything else. However, the syrup actually enhanced the chocolate flavor of the brownie bites. The composition of the yogurt had a nice chewy texture to it. Peanuts went very well this combination and I would even recommend using walnuts as a substitute. Although, putting too many walnuts could make it too crunchy and their flavor can be a risky change to this already amazing combination. As cliche as it sounds the walnuts are a risk that I would be willing to take with this mix. The yogurt itself has a milk chocolate flavor to it so the stronger taste of the syrup compliment each other very well so that the mix does not have too strong of a chocolate flavor. I actually tried this combo twice with the exact same amount of toppings and what I found out is that this compilation of toppings are kinda perfect. It sounds contradictory but what I mean about being kinda perfect is that their is an imperfection with the Oreos because of the big cookie pieces. The Oreo chips are actually too crunchy so what I figured out on the second time I made it was to only add oreo crumbs and not to add the bigger pieces of the cookies. For you CHOCOLATE LOVERS, this is a MUST TRY! Bon appetit!
Banana Split!
*7 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Arctic Vanilla yogurt
- Bananas
- Chopped peanuts
- Ghirardelli chocolate syrup
So this mix was put together in memory of my childhood. My childhood thoughts came rushing back to me as I began to eat this delicious treat. The yogurt was not as sweet as I thought, but I was only going off the comparison the Vanilla Wafer yogurt. Off course, froyo is not as creamy as ice cream but it is better in the fact that there is less fat and sugar. So, I would have to say that the Arctic Vanilla yogurt met the standards for the banana split. Next up are the bananas, which were very fresh (as expected) and a perfect combination for the peanuts because of the contrast of soft and crunchy textures. What surprised me was the Ghirardelli chocolate syrup because it usually has a strong taste like a dark chocolate but all in all it was your typical banana split. The only thing I wish I could add would be a cherry on top (no pun intended)! It's definitely worth a try if you love banana splits but I would not get it everytime.
Snowflake Mint w/ Oreos
*7 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Snowflake mint yogurt
- Oreos
This is a good yogurt. It tastes good and the textures are right. If you like Thinmint Girl Scout cookies, you'll like this yogurt. There isn't much more to say about it other than the fact that it definitely replicates the flavor of Thinmint perfectly. Try it and let us know what you think!
*8.5 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Red velvet cupcake batter yogurt
- Plain tart yogurt
- Bananas
- Cap'n crunch
- Mochi
This has got to be one of the best yogurts I've tasted. The red velvet cupcake batter and plain tart seems to be an unlikely mix, but believe me, it works and it's good. It's a very full flavor, beginning with red velvet and ending with tart. The toppings are a wonderful combination--the crunchy and chewy textures pretty much perfect. This is a yogurt I definitely recommend that you try... and more than once.

The Acai Bowl - straight off the poster
* 7 out of 10
Ingredients
- Acai yogurt
- Strawberries
- Bananas
- Granola
The Acai yogurt is here! We took this combination straight off the poster. This is a good mix to try especially if you want to play it safe and get an idea of the potential of the acai yogurt. The acai yogurt has a strawberry-banana taste to it so adding the fruits only strengthens its complexity. I personally would have enjoyed this yogurt more if the bananas were chopped into smaller pieces so that I didn't have a mouthful of banana and only a small amount of yogurt. This really isn't too big of an issue since one can just cut up the bananas with the spoon. The granola goes extremely well because it adds a unique texture, not to mention, the taste of the granola goes well with the fruits. However, also beware that the texture of the granola has a time limit, as it can slowly become soggy when the yogurt starts to melt and soak into the pores of the granola. Overall, the yogurt was tasty but I have a feeling that there are other ingredients that one could add, which will be just as good if not better.

Chocolate Twilight Crunch
*5 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Chocolate Twilight yogurt
- Cinnamon Toast crunch
- M&M's
- Oreos (crushed)
- Chopped roasted almonds
This was not as sweet as I imagined, probably because the yogurt is an NSA yogurt (no sugar added). However, it was overwhelmingly crunchy. Just look at the picture above and you can imagine what a mouthful of this combination would taste like. If you give this yogurt a try, I would recommend crushing all the ingredients instead of eating it on top of the yogurt that way, you are not just eating a big bite of dry toppings. Also, try getting this without the M&M's, they don't compliment the yogurt. When M&Ms get cold, they get hard and this causes a conflict between the two variations of chocolate and their textures.
Taro with Butterfinger Pieces and More!
* 8 out of 10
Ingredients:
- Taro yogurt
- Butterfinger pieces
- Mochi balls
- Chopped roasted almonds
I am not really a fan of taro, so being an 8 out of 10, sure says a lot about this combination. The textures within this yogurt is similar to the other high quality flavors. The chewiness of the mochi, mixed with the crunchiness of the almonds, goes extremely well with the smoothness of the taro. Not to mention, the taro yogurt itself isn't too sweet so the butterfinger pieces is a good choice because it adds a bit of extra flavor that doesn't push the yogurt over the top. However, if you don't like the additional buttery flavor from the butterfinger pieces feel free to remove it. That way the taro flavor will be more dominant.
